About Us

G L Lifts Limited is an independently owned family business with over 40 years of industry experience based in Norwich, Norfolk.

We maintain, repair, modernise and carry out thorough inspections on all types of passenger, goods and service lifts including Hydraulic and Scissor lifts throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

This wealth of experience, expertise and knowledge covering all areas of the lift industry allows us to work on almost any lift from the oldest equipment all the way up to the latest products. We have extra experience working with Aritco Platform lifts, Stannah Midi Platform lifts, Sodimas Passenger lifts, Gebhardt Goods lifts and can offer support to other engineers if needed.

We can also offer sub-contract work to other lift companies if they do not have engineers in our area of work and can offer independent technical visits for problematic units.

We are recognised as part of the SafeContractor register, all of our engineers have up to date DBS clearance and have a variety of additional qualification allowing us to work on almost any site.

Maintanance

We can offer a scheduled program of regular service inspections in line with the manufacturers recommendations or bespoke services as per your requirements. We can also offer a ‘one-off’ maintenance inspection for lifts that are not regularly used or if no contract is required.

Our experienced engineers are here to carry out regular checks/legal requirements for all lifts which increases the safety and can increase the lifespan of the lift.

Modernisation

Whether your lift is just a little tired or is in need of a complete refurbishment, we can offer all levels of modernisation bringing your lift up to modern safety standards.

Often lifts may be referred to as end of life or obsolete but this may only be for a small part of the whole lift.

We work with various manufacturers enabling us to offer bespoke packages that suit your needs and requirements, which can bring an old lift back to perfectly usable condition for years to come.

All of the equipment we work with is Open Protocol so can be worked on by any engineer should the need arise.

Autodiallers / Emergency Phones

With the upcoming swtichoff of analogue phone lines we have seen a surge for the need to install GSM phone lines. These are essentially mobile phone lines which enable new and exsisitng units to work even if there is no analogue line available.

We work with a variety of different models of autodialler allowing us to help upgrade old systems to modern and compliant ones that suit your situation.
